Sasol issues Voluntary Property Purchase Program registration deadline reminder

Media Release
November 19, 2013

Westlake, Louisiana - The deadline for eligible property owners and renters to register for Sasol's Voluntary Property Purchase Program is Wednesday, December 4, 2013.

Eligible property owners or renters who would like to participate in the program should contact the information center at 337-310-8200 prior to Dec. 4. The information center is located at the former Mossville Elementary School at 3301 Old Spanish Trail in Westlake.

To participate in the program, eligible property owners or renters must go to the
information center and sign up. Attempts to sign up after Dec. 4 will not be accepted.
Registering for the program does not commit property owners to sell their property. It
simply authorizes Sasol's contractor to arrange to have the property appraised and
surveyed, and to obtain a preliminary title search from a local law firm.

"I would encourage everyone owning property in the program area to meet with the
program counselors to gather good information so they can make the best decision for themselves and their family," said Mike Hayes, manager of public affairs for Sasol U.S. Mega Projects. "While most eligible residents have chosen to register for the program, others have not. Sasol respects this choice and understands involvement in the program is a personal decision. Sasol will continue to work with our neighbors and be a good, responsible corporate citizen in Southwest Louisiana."

Additional information about the program is available at www.sasolvppp.com.

Note to editors:

In July 2013, Sasol announced plans to introduce a Voluntary Property Purchase
Program for residents in designated areas northwest and west of its existing facility in Westlake, Louisiana. This program is strictly voluntary and provides eligible property owners the option to sell their property to Sasol and relocate to an alternative neighborhood, if they so choose. Sasol has retained Community Interaction Consulting, Inc. (CIC), to administer the program.

In December 2012, Sasol announced that it would begin front-end engineering and design work for a world-scale ethane cracker and gas-to-liquids (GTL) facility to be
located at its existing site in Westlake. At an estimated cost of between $16 and $21
billion, the two projects combined represent the largest single manufacturing investment in the history of Louisiana and one of the largest foreign direct investment manufacturing projects in U.S. history. Together, the two projects are expected to create over 1,200 permanent jobs, 7,000 jobs at peak construction and thousands of indirect jobs in Louisiana and across the U.S.
